A short clip from my recent video for @collaboartive_ , I’m extremely grateful for the trust and creative freedom.
It’s not often I’m given creative freedom with an event. Being told to “do what you do” is kind of a dangerous thing to say to a creative because it can go many different ways. Including taking months to finish editing due to intense hatred of small mistakes and multiple revisions. Especially for me, I overthink everything.
But when I arrived at this event, “Outside the Lines: A Collaboration with collaboARTive” and started exploring the space, I noticed there was a strong sense of community and love in the air. The atmosphere was amazing, it felt like it was going to be a night to remember. So I thought why not create a memory, something that captures the love and friendships.
This was very much like a memory, a very in-the-moment type of recording style. And I kept it kind of raw with not a lot of edits. I didn’t want anything to take away from the feelings and disturb the formality.
Overall, I’m happy the message came through as it was supposed to lol, or else…. A couple of things didn’t go as planned that night on my part but I’m gonna focus on the positives lol I’m grateful, you live and learn.
