Presented by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). Happened last Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Griffing Park West Dixie Highway
North Miami.
The Caribe Arts Fest is a multi-genre art festival celebrating the arts of the Caribbean and the Americas and honors the artistic diversity of North Miami.
Caribe Arts Fest - at first glance, it looks like a simple day at the park. But once I stepped into Griffing Park, I could see the culture. I noticed the vendors' booths displaying amazing pieces, from custom apparel to canvas paintings. And on the main stage, you could hear poets, singers, rappers, and bands.
The atmosphere was family-friendly and tropical. It felt like a celebration, just like it said on the flags around the park; “A celebration of the Arts of the Caribbean and the Americas.” The people were dancing, the food was mouth-watering. I wish I didn’t eat before I showed up. Someone was actually on the grill, even though there were food trucks around. The children had foam sticks to run around and play with. I even saw a kid with cotton candy at the park. I enjoyed my time there.
